When cleaning the body of toxins, we must first ensure we slow the toxins entering the body on a day-to-day basis. In our modern, toxic world, it is impossible to stop the flow of toxins completely, so slowing/limiting toxins that we can control, is the best we can do. Humans take in large amounts of toxins from food, water, environment, and toxic pills on a daily basis.
Food, water, and environment can be our medicine, or it can be our sickness. Although this lifestyle plan is about being able to live a quality life in a toxic world, the food we eat, especially in the beginning of detox, is very important. Once our body has the upper hand again, we are then able to eat more freely. Creating your new life pattern can be one of the more difficult portions of your path to healing but it also the most crucial. Follow the guidelines below to fix your foundation. By restructuring your food, water, air, and supplement/medication intake, you will drastically lessen the toxins flowing into your body.
After years of toxins gathering and causing issues in the body, allergies develop, whether considered seasonal or from food, ultimately allergy responses are dis-ease or dysregulation from toxin build-up and the dirtying of genes and will correct over your healing journey as toxins are removed and genes are cleaned up. This takes time. Although some food toxins can be avoided by using only organic, some individuals will still respond to the trigger food until a certain level of healing has occurred; therefore, I recommend eliminating items such as gluten and dairy from the diet for the first month before working organic-only versions of those foods back in.
"Foods" to stop consuming:
Inorganic- It is best to avoid most inorganic foods. Every individual is different in amounts of toxins they are able to handle. Some may do well on a ratio of 90% organic/10% inorganic, others may be able to handle an 80%/20%. Regardless, any controllable toxin entering the body during the detox and replenish phase can cause confusion and complicate the process so focusing on all organic food and beverages in the first few months is best practice.
Processed- boxed, bagged, frozen meals, meats- deli, sausage, salami, pepperoni, Canadian bacon; these are highly processed, high salt and preservative items that work against healing.
Gluten- bread, pasta, beer, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce and other condiments such as BBQ sauce and marinades, candy, cereals, soups, vegan meat substitutes, taco seasoning, energy/granola bars, some French fries and anything made with malt (from barley). - if there is gluten, there is glyphosate, unless it is organic.
Sugar, corn syrup, and high fructose corn syrup- refined/white sugar, cane sugar, brown sugar, soda, diet soda and other diet drinks, store-bought baked goods, artificial sweeteners, candy, milk chocolate, ketchup, salad dressings, and other condiments, jams and jellies, prepackaged flavored oatmeal, fruit juices with added sugars, Gatorade, Powerade, Kool-Aid, Hawaiian Punch, flavored milks, flavored coffee drinks and most bottled drinks on supermarket shelves, premade sugary-alcoholic beverages such as daiquiri's, margaritas, and any mixed with soda or diet soda.
Hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils (PHOs)-trans-fats- canola oil, corn, soybean, vegetable oil, seed oil, peanut oil, deep fried foods, margarine and other fake butters, fast food, donuts, white bread, non-dairy creamers, shortening, tortilla and potato chips, cool whip, store-bought baked goods, butter-flavored microwave popcorn, most premade salad dressings and condiments.
Myco-toxin/Mold-heavy- Wine, beer, grains (wheat, barley, oats, rye, corn, rice), grapes, peanuts, coffee, refined corn and rice flours, many gluten-free products, grain-fed dairy, grain-fed animal meat and products, cheeses, salami, pepperoni, and dried fruits. Nuts/Seeds, spices, teas, and chocolate can have mycotoxins, however there are mold-free options.
Enriched, Bleached, or Fortified- Any food or beverage that has man-made "enrichments" like cholecalciferol (D2/D3), Vit A, Folic Acid (B9), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (B6), and other B vitamins, carrageenan, calcium, and iron. This includes, enriched flour, baking mixes, supermarket milk and most dairy products, kefirs, creamers, non-dairy milk replacements such as soy and nut milks, cereals, rice, most supermarket breads, bagels, buns, baked goods, crackers, cookies, cakes, etc, fortified nutritional yeast, premade "vitamin" drinks, and baby formulas.
When we think water, we think of drinking water. This is just one of many ways we ingest water and it's contents on a daily basis. We also cook with it, soak in baths, wash our clothing and bedding, make tea, coffee and other beverages, we wash our home and floors, wash our hair, face and hands, brush our teeth and shower in it. We water our plants, our garden/food, and give to our beloved pets. Our bodies absorb toxins from water in more ways than we ever think of.
Our water has an unsurmountable amount of ever flowing toxins, including fluoride. Our water has been being fluoridated since WWII, as well as a plethora of other toxins increasingly seeping into our water supply on the regular. Fluoride is a nasty neurotoxin that lowers IQ and causes a variety of dis-eases. Our bodies need more water than usual during cleansing, and we must ensure we are not putting more toxins right back in or we will be spinning our wheels and bringing unnecessary confusion to the healing process. Ensuring our water is toxin-free by stopping the consumption of tap water, fluorinated water, bottled water, and even most filtered water.
Unfortunately, most water filters do not remove fluoride entirely. The only way to ensure no fluoride in the water is by using distilled water. A counter steam-water distiller is recommended but purchasing distilled water in plastic jugs is okay, if needed, for a time or during certain times such as travel. This can also be tricky as some store-bought distilled water has fluoride added back in after distillation, such as the nursery brand distilled water for babies.
You can also look up your water supply contaminates on ewg.org. All you need is your zip code
and your water company. This can help determine what toxins are in your personal water supply so that you can decide which shower/bath filters your home will require to stop the daily toxin flow.
Stop taking supplements and consuming foods with added Vitamin A, Cholecalciferol (D2/D3), melatonin, and other hormones, iron, calcium, B6 and B9. This includes multivitamins, hormone supplements or creams, iron infusions, any calcium supplement that is not derived from real food, milks, dairy or non-dairy with added "vitamins", any food that says enriched or fortified.
Vitamin A can become neurotoxic as can B6 and B9 in very small amounts. We get plenty
of these (naturally) in our food still and we need very little, so supplementation is typically not necessary.
Vit D (cholecalciferol-D2/D3) supplementation is a toxic rodenticide and should be avoided. It takes a much smaller amount to kill a rodent than it does a human. So, the amounts of "Vitamin" D3 a human ingests, damages and numbs the nerves, making us feel less and therefore believe we are feeling better, when in reality, it wasn't enough to kill us but enough to kill many nerves leading us to believe our "pains" are gone and our energy has improved (fight or flight). Although titled a vitamin, D is actually a seco-steroid hormone that our body must create and regulate with other hormones, internally. "Vitamin" D and its collaborative lab tests, were created and are used in conjunction with one another, with nothing to do with our actual hormonal levels of D. Supplementation of "vitamin" D is blocking your path to healing.
So, what about sun exposure you ask? Negative effects from the sun began as our bodies de-mineralized. Copper and manganese are two minerals that produce melanin, a pigment that gives our hair and skin it's color, which plays a major role in hormone D/sun synthesis. Without these essential minerals, our skin can no longer tan or color but burn. This was the kick-off for the creation of the top grossing supplement "Vitamin D" and the invention of toxic sunscreen. Iron is bio-accumulative and is a common cause of dis-ease, especially when supplementing. Iron Overload causes destruction throughout the entire body system. Copper must be present to balance iron. Without copper, iron can be too much or too little. Common diagnoses such as low iron or anemia are actually symptoms of copper deficiency. Adding more iron to the body will not rebalance iron but add to the blood imbalance and destruction of organs and platelets, lowering health overtime. Stopping any and all iron supplementation is crucial for your path to healing.
Calcium is dangerous to supplement with as it can be stored in soft tissue causing a variety of problems including bone loss. Calcium must come from foods. If someone's calcium is low, it is not automatically because they need more, it is usually because of inappropriate calcium distribution into the soft tissues instead of the bones and many times because of "Vitamin" D supplementation, which makes bones weaker. Copper, boron, magnesium, and the sun assist in rebalancing iron, calcium, and Hormone D naturally. Boron, magnesium, K2, phosphorous, and hormone D synthesizing from the sun are what regulates the calcium channel, ensuring a strong bone matrix. If an individual consumes raw dairy products, they are likely receiving enough calcium.
